advertising midterm yeah! my advertising midterm's over... tot the questions were quite tricky, had to minnie mynnie moe for some... make me wanna cry coz i studied so hard for it! the only module that i actually made my own notes for... oh well, just hope i'll pass... i hate projects... my groups keep cancelling and re-scheduling... so in the end nothing gets done... i've got 4 projects and 1 term paper and i haven't started on 4 out of 5... i hate rushing like crazy, in the end, i wun have time to cram for my final exams... chicken wings oooo had really nice chicken wings today from clementi central hawker centre... my mum bought it for me dinner one night and it was really so good... and i'm having chicken wings cravings again, so i went to get it for lunch today... it was very nice, only $1 each... hot even after the journey home... the skin's not very flour-y but it's crunchy... and there's a bit of garlic taste (i love garlic)... yum... thinking of it now, i'm hungry... devil wears prada went out with bren & lil today... omg it's been so long since i've got a day out! woohoo! bren & me met up first in the morning to go school to study, then we went swensen's at westmall for lunch... sigh... their black pepper seafood pasta is absolutely delicious...  this is the dessert that came with the set lunch... it was really good... french vanilla with butterscotch sause (which bren was literally slurping up) and there was a mini pastry and that long stick was actually edible (maybe it was not, but i ate it anyway haha)... then lil came and we watched devil wears prada... meryl streep is really a wonderful actress... she's really sophisticated and stylish... the clothes & accessories in the movies were really nice... it's so cool to live in a place with 4 seasons, u really get to layer up ... not like in singapore where u almost have to wear sleeveless everyday... i got a book today... goddess of spring by pc cast, which i have been looking for for very long... read her first book goddess of the sea, borrowed from the library... but i couldn't find anything else by her, so i was really happy to find it... i wanna sleep i can't even get a decent sleep! everytime i try to take a nap, my grandma will always ask my dad to do things for her & since she's hard of hearing, my dad has to keep repeating & raising his voice... and also since she's hard of hearing... she thinks he's hard of hearing, so she talks loudly too... so i can't sleep! it's also creepy, coz when i'm lying on my bed, she keeps walking in, coz she wants to see how my room is... and she keeps comparing it to my sis's... my weekend's passing by at the speed of light :(... peace, where have u gone too? armpit villian today while i was on the way to school on a super crowded bus, i was attacked full frontal by the amrpit villian... can someone answer me... why do guys like to air their armpits on buses? i mean there are like handles everywhere but whey must they always grab the top bars? anyway, this stupid guy just aired his armpit right in my face... it's so disgusting, my first sensation in the morning... and he like keeps smelling his armpit & he keeps breathing down my hair, u can really hear deep breathing, there's like a wheezing sound... sounds so pervertic...  this photo was taken with the phone right in front of my face... no zoom, no moving of phone closer to his armpit... can u imagine how close it was? i was covering my nose with a tissue the whole way to school... other than the inconsiderate person who spoiled my trip to school... the weather was superb!!! i could finally wear a long sleeves shirt to sch without sweating on the way there and back... even now i dun even need to on the fan... hopes it stay this way till tmr! amici part 2 went to amici for dinner yesterday... they changed their nice modern tuna salad to traditional italian tuna salad, which wasn't nice... haha so we told the boss & he said he will feedback to the cook... he prefers the modern one too... sis & me ate cod, she lemon butter, me herb vinaigrette... the fish was very nice, fresh, tender & succulent... super yummy! i felt my sis one was more smooth (coz of the butter) & also tasted more western... mine was more chinese (panfriend, clear sauce)... but both equally good... my dad ate portobello steak... which my sis thought all the while it was just a big mushroom, haha it was actually mushroom & tenderloin... my dad preferred the pepper steak we ate the last time... my mum ordered pasta, vongole, it either won an award or chef recommendation... very nice, has a unique taste (even though i dun eat seafood)... only sis & me ordered dessert... sis tiramisu, me crepe suzette... the tiramisu was wetter than the one i had the last time... my crepe suzette was delicious! i got strawberry ice cream.... and the boss remembered us... he treated sis & me fruit tartlets, just baked in the afternoon... super duper good... the crust nice, choc, nice & custard very nice... really prefer the tanjong pajar one to holland v... the service & ambience is really much better...  anyway this is a pic i took during the weekend... lunch @ old airport road hawker centre... wanqi & gigantic cup of sugercane... so big she had to use 2 hands to hold it up... we were like super shocked when we saw the cup, haha kept laughing... upload pics ok, the stalker's back again... i'm like the backview killer (bei ying sha shou) coz i like to take people's backview... ok i admit i take it without letting them know... but whatever...  kiasu singaporean... see, what's the point of drawing lines when some people are just partially/selectively blind... when u go taiwan, people really queue up very orderly & when they take escalator they really do keep to one side, but singaporeans... sigh...  haha tot it was very hilarious, saw these 2 friends in sch who wore the same shirt... omg that's so sec sch! i mean i'll die before wearing the same thing or carrying the same bag as my friends...  farah's tiger biscuit... "who wants a tiger?" (her exact line) before whipping out the biscuit... vic & me had a hard laugh over it...  me & my blueberry muffin (overloading with blueberries)... which i queued super long for it... very cheap only $1.20, other muffins go for $1 (they're equally nice)... chocolat & spice @ tanjong pajar... worth queuing for it...  farah & my cheng teng... haha i wanted to take my cheng teng, which was very nice, recommended by farah...  victoria, who i dun know for what reason simply refused to have her pic taken...  zackie... my lecturer's son.. haha so cute! he was the guest lecturer that day... this picture is courtesy of bren, whose phone is good that she managed to take his pic... birds... yuck... u know, some government official should do someting about bird control in singapore... dun know why they are so hard up on sterilizing cats when there are so many birds around... u can't go anywhere without seeing birds, but u can go most places without seeing cats... and the worse thing is that birds are now not afraid of humans & u can find them in people infested areas like schools, shopping areas & hawker centres... i think it's really disgusting to have birds flying & walking around while u're eating food, can imagine the germs floating around... it's ok to have birds but there are just too many, some more of the same ugly kinds (mynahs, pigeons & crows, u dun see anything else)... u dun even have to see them, u can hear them everywhere... should curb the population... there's like an increase in birds... if u're going to control cat population, who's going to control the bird population? steve irwin read from tau's blog that steve irwin's dead... was very shocked... i mean it's really hard to imagine someone so lively, dead at such a young age & so suddenly. when i heard he's dead, i tot he was attacked by a crocrodile, but it was so ironic that he got stung by a stingray, which is harmless unless provoked... it's sad for his wife & 2 kids (one's only 2, can't imagine what it's like not knowing ur dad growing up)... i love watching animal planet... i'm in mourning today... @ 07:50
nm2201 project group met up with my intercultural communications group yesterday... except for mr x (who was always mia)... u know the group i was saying that we had to sign up before tut started? anyway they were a nice bunch, haha so friendly, 2 from science, 1 exchange, 3 from arts! was really a nice change from being solo all the time... tulip hearts day my blog for the weekend... super tired, going to zzz soon...  oooo nice car! so surprised to see it around clementi... lotus e-something... so beautiful, but no point having it in singapore, u can't even speed... went for tulips heart day today, volunteered with sis & efei... was very hot (what's new) & very few singaporeans donated, so much for sharing & caring, but there were some really nice people who bothered buying... i mean u get a nice silk flower for $2, it's even better than donating into a can & getting a sticker...  while eating breakfast @ bk... super duper hungry... sis...  efei...  me...  saw this girl @ mrt station... saggy butt! i mean if i have butt like that i wouldn't wear it that tight! not that i would wear that tight without wearing something long to cover my butt in the first place... watched sleepless in seattle in the afternoon... kind of nice, about destiny & fate... meg ryan & tom hanks... still prefer when harry met sally, can't wait to watch city of angels (also meg ryan)... my nose's sunburned... quite funny, coz that's the only part of my face that's burnt... amici went to amici @ tanjong pagar with my family for dinner yesterday... the service was efficient & the food was fabulous... the tuna (comes with veg, potato & tomato) & award winning caesar (veg, bacon & cheese) salads were the best! first time i was like gobbling up vegetables... they were generous with the dressing & ingredients, so with a mouthful, u could have a bit of everything... the beef were really succulent & tender... my dad, mum & me had steak with peppercorn sauce... me & dad thinks it's nice, but my mum didn't love it... the sauce was a tad too spicy, but the beef was just nice... but the veg & potato on the side were good... my sis had crab pasta, can't say much for her coz i dun eat seafood, but she loved it... after the meal, my dad ordered crepe suzette for dessert... ooooo delicioius! tangy orange sauce with ice cream... mum & me ordered award winning tiramisu... but i tot it was too wet, felt like my tiramisu was drowning... definitely a place we'll go again! the service was much better than the one at holland v... the bill added up to $198... thank god for credit cards, got some rebate offer!
