back from south africa hey guys back to stark reality!!! no more scantily clad bushmen, wild animals, nice sunrises, sunsets, cooling weather, big birds running around, which produce equally big eggs & at least 2 buffets a day... haha singapore is HOT! can't get used to the weather, kept sweating when i came back... sigh kinda miss south africa... such a short trip & i felt like i haven seen alot of things yet :( what i miss about south africa: 1) CLEAN TOILETS... u can't believe it... EVERY toilet there is clean... no worries about going toilet anywhere, anytime... they might be old, but they're still clean... it's like south africa & uk toilets are ranked 10 & singapore toilets are like ranked 6... 2) FOOD... ok not buffets (my tummy's bulging now)... i miss their roast beef!!! yumyum... almost everyday i have beef, delicious beef (chicken's like everyday)... south african food is almost like western food... lots of meat... i tried antelope meat without realising it... taste like mutton... but after that i made sure what the meat was before eating it... 3) WEATHER... it's cooling there... like u wear long sleeves & a light jacket... only certain areas like the safari drive, seaside & mountain top u really need a heavy jacket... 4) GUYS... ok the guys there have really great bodies... we went to this cultural village (digress- there were lots of chickens there) & the guys there were wearing traditional costumes & u could see 6 packs & biceps... 5) FLOWERS... they have really nice flower arrangements everywhere! even in the toilets!!! what i do not miss about south africa: 1) SHOPPING... omg the things there are so EX!!! a tourist tee costs about sgd$50! the standard of living there is like europe... which is quite sad coz there are many poor people who can't afford daily neccessities... 2) SQUATTERS... it's really quite scary when u drive past one whole large area (while exiting the airport to go to the city) & see all the squatter areas... but thankfully they're building better houses for them coz they're trying to clear all these areas before the world cup... hmmm can't remember everything now... haha will update as i go along... got lots of pictures about 900+, which i'm very lazy to upload... missed u guys so much while i was there! gotta meet up soon... i'm free weekends... starting work next tues...
