my parents' loot from south america  three tries... if you had been in south america for a month, what would you get? havaianas!!!  according to my parents, they sell it really cheap there. a nice pair of sandals costs only sgd$20! whereas in singapore, you get it for double that rate. the cheapest pair of slippers only cost them sgd$10.  i was drooling at the sea of havaianas on the floor as my parents unpacked. some of the designs i have never seen in singapore before. anyway, they are not all for keeps! some of them my parents bought as souvenirs, but of course as their firstborn, i get the first pick!  the other thing that caught my eye were these liquor bottles. they actually came with liquor but obviously the liquor had been consumed. however, the bottles are a unique souvenir and keepsake of the art and craft in south america. will be uploading some of the photos my parents took if i have time, since exams are starting soon :( Labels: shopping |
