adrienne's birthday celebration seems like i'm only updating my blog on birthdays huh? after much persisting persuasion and badgering about reviving my dying blog (the latest by lilian jiejie), i've decided to upload pictures of the family gathering today. this post would be boring and irrelevant to non-family members, so you might want to skip this post until my desire to blog decides to strike again. we met up at thai express at iluma today for lunch. just a diversion, the entrance to the carpark is extremely hard to locate. there were no signage to direct, so for first timers like my dad and i had a tedius time establishing the carpark entrance. similarly, iluma's website offers little information. no shop listing or directory, no carpark charges, the location map presents no instructions how to get there, and last but not least, no email or contact number. what's the point of having the website? ok, now on to lunch. the service there was quite good considering the long row of tables formed by my family. there were some confusion about items ordered but in the end, everything worked out by shouting down the table and announcing the arrival of each dish. yes, boisterous crowd. thank god the restaurant was relatively empty and we were sitting in the corner.      here's the birthday girl, looking chubby and pretty, celebrating her 2nd birthday. the pictures below are separated into unglam/ funny shots and preening shots. unglam/ funny:  meiyi, this was not taken by me, but by your own blood.  mum's new hairstyle.  wallpaper behind her. note the similarity. preening: here are people utilising the "beauty" mode in my camera (samsung wb500). it really does work! less blemishes and radiant skin. effect just as good as skII and it's just a one time payment!     after the meal, off went adrienne in search of free balloons. note her purposeful stride. this is a girl on a mission.  to end off the meal and to commemorate the occasion, we had a group shot outside the restaurant.  to people featured here: pictures can also be found on facebook.
