this is it! watched the movie yesterday! one word... awesome! it's a documentary about the 50 sold out concerts that he was preparing and rehearsing for before his death. in his own words, it's a "final curtain call" where he would have performed songs that his fans requested. in it are interviews of people who are involved in the process, like dancers, light, sound, costume, as well as his various rehearsals of his famous songs (beat it, thriller, etc.). the documentary just shows how much effort he put into the concert and it's a pity he never performed. i felt so inspired just watching it on the big screen and i'm sure it would have been so much better being there live. keeping in mind his age, he was not as energetic as he was at his peak, but his voice... it was like an angel's. perfect pitch. he also tried to put a modern twist to his concert by recreating videos for thriller and smooth criminal. surprisingly, the cinema was only half full. the movie's only showing for 2 weeks. if you haven't catch it, please head on down to the nearest cinema before it's over!
