chinese new year: day 1 every year my family will take a quan jia fu (family photo) and this year was no exception. we posed in front of my mum's favourite chinese painting.   first stop: paternal grandma's house.  my aunt always prepare jolly shandy for us and this year we had something special! lychee flavoured! fantastic!  my grandma who's getting senile. next stop: grandaunt's house. usually i can never wait to get to my maternal grandma's house. but she went to taiwan with two of my aunts, so this year i kind of felt lost and the festive atmosphere just wasn't there.  still, i love meeting up with my cousins!  my dad and uncle doing what they are always doing together.   my cousin has this weird fetish of smelling my niece's bolster. yes, it's the one she had since she was a baby and had peed on several times. it's even worse when she goes around asking people to smell it.  sis feeling very sleepy after eating medicine.  we had dinner at fish and co. woohoo!  my niece eyeing my sis's fish and chips.  doesn't this look good? it's tastes good too. peri peri catch.  had the raspberry cheesecake. i could never eat dessert after the huge amount of food, but since there were four of us, i just thought 'why not'? and... i'm definitely going to fish and co for more desserts! |
