spa retreat at vista hotel, batam came back yesterday from my weekend getaway to batam with the ladies. had great fun, can't believe my weekend will be over in four hours and i will have to get back into the drudgery of work. we took the 1230 hours ferry over to batam centre where we got picked up by the hotel staff. it was an uneventful 1.15 hours ride. our lovely hotel rests on the hilltop, the magnificent crown looking imperiously down onto the city. our room's huge! the space is unbelievable! almost the size of a suite! we love our balcony, a favourite place to just sit out there in the cool breeze and chill. me trying to get over to bee's balcony, which was separated by another room. we went for our 3 hours spa after checking in. only sgd$35 for a full body massage, body scrub, herbal bath and facial! OMG! the spa's ageing a bit, but that didn't diminish the quality of the services. after our spa, we went for dinner at nagoya. not much a place for shopping, but a&w made up for it. why can't a&w make a second appearance in singapore? we made it back to the hotel and sat at our balcony, ordered room service. room service was reasonably priced (e.g. soup and rice for sgd$5). the next morning, we dragged ourselves up from the comfy bed. and went for breakfast. the spread wasn't all that great, but we got very full. it started raining, which spoilt our plans for sitting outside. before returning to singapore, we went to mega mall opposite the ferry terminal. it's extremely kid friendly and i got a polo dress for only sgd$58! we binged on some of our favourite items too! and then, it's back to singapore :( Labels: food, friends, holidays |
