renaza, joyous and cedele :)  it was a lazy day for me as i didn't have to go school yesterday. so after watching a whole lot of vampire diaries season 2, i went to meet ah tan and ah mou for our french mani-pedi session.  having almost zilch sense of direction and numerous uninformative phone calls, we decided to meet straight at the nail spa, renaza wellness lifestyle lab.   the place does hair and spa treatments, but we were only there for our nails.   colour selection wasn't plentiful, but we were all satisfied with our final colour choices.   have no idea why ah tan was frowning, she was definitely getting pampered.    mou was so short (oops, i mean petite) that they had to shift her chair right behind the sink and still, her feet couldn't touch the bottom.  my robin blue base with silver tips.  and it was mocha single tone for my (wrinkly) fingers.  ah mou had pink base with gold tips for her toes.  and red with gold tips for her fingers. renaza wellness lifestyle lab and since we were at tanjong pagar, i had to get my FAVOURITE PINEAPPLE TARTS!  joyous pastries simply awesome! even mou thought it was the best pineapple tart she has ever tasted! it is expensive, but oh so worth it. they are now taking orders for chinese new year! they always sell out way before the festive season, so now would be a great time to get it if you are interested. we then took the train down to raffles city to have dinner at cedele.  ah mou with her paprika chicken curry. yum. usually when you have chicken curry, the chicken is normally very tough. here, the chicken still stays tender yet flavourful.   my delicious beef aglio olio. switched from my usual fish pasta.  for desserts we had chocolate orange cheesecake and lemon tart.  the lemon tart was extremely zesty and sour. i couldn't eat it without cringing (in a good way), but ah mou thought it had just the right amount of sourness.  the chocolate orange cheesecake was simply decadent. we were so full after dinner we had to walk it off.  later we met my sis and her friend beverly at chjimes before heading home.   what a pleasant day :) Labels: family, food, friends, pedicures |
