around the world travelling has be confined to the region this year. seeing that i'm earning a salary now and can't afford to be a freeloader anymore, my budget has greatly restricted my options. that limitation aside, teaching is stressful and i need to enjoy myself before i'm enslaved at the end of the year. 1. cambodia  went to siem reap and phnom penh with parvin during june holidays. cambodia is a beautiful place. lots of magnificent architecture and old world charm. still rather underdeveloped. according to my dad, it's like malaysia decades ago. not much to do there if you are a city type of person. however, if you're into photography, this is a place you have to hit. 2. kl, malaysia  surprisingly, for a person who has visited 5 of the 7 (6, if you discount antartica) continents, i've never been to kl before. people who have been there have given me mixed reviews, mostly about shopping and eating, which is already abundant in singapore. yet i can't seem to get this place off my mind. which is just as well i will be heading there with my girl friends in november! 3. borobudur, indonesia  to wrap up the year, the annual family trip! this time round, it's nearer to home and my aunt and uncle are joining us. i have a feeling the scenary and culture is going to be similar to cambodia. nevertheless, i can't wait to visit the beautiful buddhist structures!
