sis's birthday at cedele had a wonderful dinner tonight at cedele, great world city. the dinner was made even more splendid by the excellent service by a particular staff which i will elaborate later on. here's the birthday girl, who had a long weekend birthday celebration (starting friday). and here's her father who pampers her. mum & i. spiced chicken stew. tastes very oily. but it had lots of chicken chunks in them. clam chowder. my dad thinks it's kind of like mushroom soup but with clams. i don't eat seafood so i will just have to take his word for it. seafood pasta. plenty of seafood (mussels, prawns and fish). my mum couldn't finish it, which was beneficial to my dad, as he was still hungry. sea bass and shrimp tango salad. coriander pesto fish. the differences between the dish above and this were:
one of my dad's favourite. black pepper crab pasta. it's served with soft shell crab and shredded crab meat. very worth the price of $16.90. my mango almond cake. no almond at all. it's made with wholewheat flour and is layered with slices of mango. the frosting is not sugar or cream but yoghurt! it's mango lassi in a cake. pink beet cake. according to one of the staff, the restaurant doesn't always serve it. it's kind of like carrot cake but using beetroot. suitable for a sweet tooth like my dad. i seriously loved it! after taking a bite, my mango almond cake doesn't taste as good. my sis's birthday treat (ice cream) from a kind cedele staff, prabhu. i think he overheard my sis mentioning it was her birthday and he suddenly brought the ice cream over and wished her happy birthday. thanks so much! he even gave my sis two bags of cookies to take home with! what a nice guy! definitely will be back for more! |
