boracay: day 4 day four was just our entire return journey back to singapore. not exciting at all. we woke up at 3.30am, no kidding. the staff at jony's beach resort was very nice to actually wake up so early to pack us breakfast and call a tricycle for us. i have nothing negative to say about the quality of service at jony's beach resort. side note: i wrote my first hotel review on tripadvisor because the service was just so great i wanted to share. but it's still pending :( we took the first ferry out at 5am. it was very dark and cold. we couldn't even see what was in front of us. wonder how did the guy manage to steer us in the right direction. must have come with experience. when we reach the airport an hour prior to departure, but it wasn't open. no surprise, considering how lax they were about their immigration custom, so we went to the restaurant opposite to eat our breakfast and order fruitshakes. our breakfast was a nicely packed sandwich, consisting of toasted bread, a huge slab of cheese, vegetable and ham. the fruitshake was disappointing after all the great ones we had on the island. it was small, diluted and more costly. after finally making it into the airport, we were told our plane was delayed and it was freaking cold there. think they wanted to experience winter. siyu was so bored she took a picture of her new slipper ornament. we were walking around and saw this cute object. it was a diy ornament for havaianas! it was so cute that after siyu had hers done, we went back to the shop to buy somemore! this time for our shuttle bus back from terminal 3 to terminal 1 we had to pay 20 pesos. it was definitely a newer and cleaner bus. our adorable companion on the flight back to singapore. she was such a good little girl and very happy with flying on a plane. our pathetic meal on jetstar. the bad thing about sitting in the middle is that you don't get to choose what was left. there was only chicken and potato japanese curry by the time they came to us. we were starving by then. the meal had hardly any chicken inside. and they actually served bulut hitam without coconut. -_-" so the moment we reached the airport, we went to dunkin donuts and yakun to replenish our energy. and that was the end of our trip. so sad! in case you're interested, i've done a breakdown of the total transport cost, excluding the shuttle bus back to terminal 1, of my trip there. as you can see, it's still not very accessible or convenient. you literally spend the whole day traveling. it's the same way for the return journey. now i'm just enjoying my kettle chips which i have lugged back home! have finished jalapeno (tasted like hot and spicy) and starting on spicy thai (loving it! tangy and sweet), can't wait for fully loaded baked potato!
