hanh and us sis and i met up with a long-time friend, hanh, at vivocity. it's amazing how much my sis's and my social circles intertwine. hanh's her jc friend and i met her while working. and guess what? hanh's getting married next year in vietnam and moving to join her husband in japan!  dinner at beishanchuan, which has been blogged about before, so i'll just move on to dessert! but first...  a present from hanh, showing her everlasting love for my sis (my own interpretation). i received a necklace with two rings, so i took it to mean that we would be friends forever. hanh ensured us that there were no deeper meanings to the gift. oh well.  dessert at max brenner was my sister's treat for passing her driving first time too! she took manual and only got 6 points! must be in the genes...  we all had hot chocolate in the cute egg-shaped hugmugs.  sis's milk chocolate.  hanh's dark chocolate with cinnamon. wow. the cinnamon was aromatic and tantalised the taste buds in preparation for the smooth molten chocolate.  my milk chocolate with banana. mind-blowing and kind of over the top sweet! but i finished everything.  hanh and i enjoying our hot chocolate.  thanks sis for the treat! and safe driving... |
