hong kong dec: part 6  our last day in hong kong already! time passes so fast and my mum kept telling me six days was too much for hong kong. so untrue! we ventured the area near hotel, buying stuff from the local markets and small shops off the main road.   our last authentic hong kong style breakfast. we also made a trip specially down to sogo to buy wife's biscuit for our relatives. there we also had an eating spree.   yuzu and guava ice cream from milk top at the basement of sogo. it was doubly cold having ice cream during the cool weather. we then walked across to wtc for lunch, stopping outside to take some pictures of the beautiful christmas decorations.    we found this new vietnamese resturant, rice paper, tucked in a corner.     absolutely lovely decor. especially adore the purple seats.       wow the place was much to gush about, the food was only average. probably because i have had authentic vietnam food and theirs wasn't like anything i tasted in vietnam. maybe the chef adapted it to suit local taste?  the desserts there was definitely not vietnamese at all! the desserts all looked so good in the menu and i chose the banana pudding with caramel sauce. however, first off, it wasn't a pudding at all, more like banana bread. next, the caramel sauce was too little and the whole dessert just wasn't sweet enough for me. after that extremely heavy meal, we set off for the airport and back in sunny singapore! |
