turkey day 1: singapore-dubai-istanbul sorry for the long wait! i took a really long time sorting out photos and editing them. will be doing the updates by days as some days i have more than 50 photos! parv and i booked our emirates air tickets with gogo.com.sg. they offered low prices and got back to us pretty quickly. our flight from singapore to dubai took about seven hours and we had a two-hour transit at dubai before our flight to istanbul. i was quite upset about the flight though as they only gave us one meal the whole flight :(  dubai airport offers shopping 24/7. on our way back, we had a nine-hour transit between 0000-0900 hours and every shop was opened.     the flight from dubai to istanbul took four hours. someone picked us up from the aiport and dropped us at our hotel yusuf pasa konagi hotel at sultanahmet, which is part of the old town, and just a five minute stroll to tourist sites like the blue mosque and st. sophia museum.   the room was rather spacious for turkey hotel standard, but i wish it was located on the main street rather than a street away.  we were extremely exhausted and just wanted to grab dinner before resting up for the next day. the only options we got from the main street were not very cheap, kind of like restaurant prices in singapore (sgd$15-20). this pizza cost as sgd$15. we were too tired to complain.
