kanch's deepavali lunch had a cross country trip today... all the way to seng kang! met up with parv and evan at tampines mrt and took a bus down (didn't know tampines and seng kang were so close, they look so far away in the mrt map). reached kanch's house around noon. thank god evan was with us or else we would have totally missed the stop. was totally full from all the wonderful and safe (as in, not baked by kanch) goodies and buffet catered from banana leaf. i so loved the briyani, actually ate two servings despite my dripping nose and burning lips.  after the visit, parv, bobs and michael decided to bring me around tampines. we hit tampines mall and tampines 1. i think when all of the shopping malls are combined (including century square), they are as big as jp, with even more branded names such as topshop and uni qlo. however, i felt that even with the same amount of crowd, jp's much easier to walk around and the layout more spacious. i'm probably biased! going down to the zoo tomorrow! yeepee!
