american sized servings

dinner at billy bombers with hanh and sis. let me first digress. simply love photoscape which was introduced to me by jeannie and as you can see, my photos have been getting more interesting. love the frame function and it is pretty idiot proof, just simply click here and there to see if the effect enhances the picture. moreover, it's free! ok now moving on to dinner!

you can always count on billy bombers for the vintage 60s american atmosphere. the lighting, chairs and decor. similarly, the food comes in american-sized portions. it's no wonder we often see ns guys dining there (they need the energy to serve the country).

they have been having this cheese fondue promotion ($6.95++) for quite a while and this is my second time having it. generous servings of onion rings, nachos and hand cut fries, accompanied with creamy cheese dip. yummy!

us party platter ($19.90). chicken wings with bbq sauce, potato skins, mussels, nachos and salsa dip. the wings were delicious! the sauce was tangy enough. can't say the same for the potato skins. very bland and even the bacon bits didn't help. my sis thought the mussels were "ok", which i inferred as not bad but can be better. however, for the price, i felt it would be more worth it eating one of the main courses.

fish and fries, but we had ours with potato salad. yup we had a potato variety night-- fries, skins and all the works. as usual, the coleslaw didn't disappoint. the fish was huge! other than the coleslaw and sheer size of the fish, there was nothing really outstanding about the dish.

last but not least, the very one thing i always have to have at billy bombers-- milkshake! today i had the banana one. thick and frothy. my sis never had this flavour before because she thought it was made with banana ice cream and not real bananas, but she is wrong! you can actually taste the banana bits. simply delicious!
