october babies + new addition! warning: mega long post ahead with a barrage of photographs!  today we celebrated all the october birthdays in our family. as usual, my sis decided to sleep in, so she was the only october baby absent. we had lunch at one of our favourite dim sum place, asia grand.   my generous uncle who had just returned from china ordered a lot of food! not only variety but also quantity! he ordered double of everything for a table (we had two tables)! 2 carrot cake, 2 cheong fun, 2 chicken feet, 2 peking duck, 2 polo bao, etc... by the end of the meal, we were full.  one of the birthday girls! my dear niece adrienne. she was happy with her new hair ribbon. she opened her present immediately and wore it. this trio of photos depicts her multi-faceted self. she is very into facial expressions at the moment.  two pretty and yet humble cousins! haha!  my dad and one of the twins. they were rather silent throughout the whole meal.   my nephew, ayden. he's looking more and more like his daddy! and he's a happy baby to boot!  the four eager people who couldn't wait for the birthday cake to be served. giving pressure to the poor waitress!  adri and her grandma (my aunt) with the delicious birthday cake, truffle divine, which we got from prima deli. it was recommended by the staff there and i have to say, it's good. not creamy at all, with little chocolate coated rice krispies in the middle and a tinge of rum!  this was the picture perfect moment when adri tried to blow the candle and spewed saliva all over the cake. yes, we still ate it.    love my family! it's huge and we seldom get to meet up as a whole group, as we all have our own commitments, but we're still close and united.  matthew delivered the new addition at exactly 4.43pm today. she is a small round brown lump. sounds familiar?   her eyes are much smaller than fatter mummy (honey bunny) and fatter baby. her eyes are not gigantic either, but her round butt is very promising.  she's still scared and keeps hiding underneath her bedding and in the toilet roll. still waiting for my sis to come back and give her a name. |
