good food at imm? my mum constantly nags at me for eating expensive food and that good food shouldn't always have to be expensive. so that day we were at imm and decided to scale it down. first on the menu: mos burger the new grilled chicken burger with orange and pepper sauce. the flavourful, juicy piece of chicken fillet, crowned with tempura potato sticks, sandwiched between two delicate buns. the orange from the sauce really came through, not so much the pepper, but that was a good thing. can't really imagine how that delightful zest and tart covered up by pepper. verdict: two thumbs up! one of the healthier alternatives you can find at a fastfood outlet. second on the menu: hong kong sun kee dessert a very small and tight eatery. extremely difficult to find space to seat and if you come in any number bigger than four, too bad for you. it was so hard to move that the waitresses themselves had trouble delivering the food. i on the other hand was afraid about the hygiene of the place. i had the mango fettuccine, a chef's recommendation. while the dessert was undeniably divine, i'm still wondering, where the hell is the fettuccine? it's supposed to be like potato noodle, clear and chewy and here i got, thick squarish mango konnyaku. so misleading! special of the month at only $2. chin chow with brown sugar. it is different from the chin chow we usually eat. crunchy and stringy. unique. last but not least, custard bun. my oh my, really good. i am so pleased that there is a good custard bun outlet near my house, so that i don't have to travel all the way to town to satisfy my craving for custard buns. verdict: go for the food, but be prepared to contort to fit into your seat.
