turkey day 2: istanbul we had to drag ourselves out of bed in the morning. the sky actually got bright rather quickly. at 4.30am, the sun was already rising.  after breakfast, we decided to walk around before going for our borphorus cruise in the afternoon.          and saw a stray duck along the way. if you are afraid of animals, turkey is not the place for you. they have so many cats and dogs there (yes, even though they are muslims, they can keep dogs).        the lunch consisted of a burnt and salty sausage, overcooked chicken breast and vegetables.  we met two singaporeans there!          we then went back to the hotel to freshen up before meeting the guys at this doner place near the blue mosque. the food was much cheaper than the fare around our area. you could get a meal for about sgd$6 there!   it was around 8.45pm when the sun started setting. isn't it wonderful to be on holiday at a place where the day is long?   we walked back while enjoying the night view.
