gel manicure @ ladyfinger  i bought this manicure voucher from outlet.com.sg, you pay $20 instead of $60! i thought it was a fantastic deal, so i bought two. after all, i've never tried gelish before.  i learnt a new lesson as well, remember to read the fine print first! because the deal came with certain conditions like specific services that you have to choose from and i ended up topping up a bit. gel manicure was very interesting! it consisted of many layers and usage of uv light to dry the nail. first layer was a transparent and was later partially "wiped off" with paper. second and third layers were nail polish and last layer was a thick gelatinous top coat. in between every layer was a two minute drying process under uv light.   the end result was thicker that normal nail polish and it dried instantaneously! no more worries about chipping or scratching after painting your nails! also, if you accidentally "stain" your nail, just use nail polish to wipe it off. the negative side would be that you have to pay additional for a "soak off" to remove it as regular nail polish doesn't remove it. overall verdict: extremely expensive. will probably not do it again unless there's an offer. but definitely an experience you should try at least once. xxxxxx on to other matters. i taught my class similes and then made them write a poem. they were to choose someone or something and use at least two similes in their poem. one of my students wrote her poem about me:  awww... so sweet right? made my day :) |
