7 years and counting we are meeting up more frequently, which is so good because we are still catching up regularly even after graduating from sajc for seven years! i met siyu for lunch at parkway parade. finally could grab hold of that busy woman and sit down for a meal at toby's.     the menu and the interior reminded me of nydc.   tried an interesting concoction of pear smoothie, something you rarely get anywhere else. it was mild and not overly sweet, a great accompaniment to the meal.  siyu had the grilled chicken salad. the serving was so big she had to ask for additional serving of dressing.  i had pasta, grilled chicken in light cream sauce. i finished everything!  then, we walked around parkway parade and came across an amazing balloon store and got bryan this gigantic cars helium balloon! after that, we joined bryan at his prudential fun fair at changi exhibition centre, where we stayed a while.   it was in the middle of nowhere. literally. even after changi airport! you definitely need a car to get there.      we met up with angelo and lil. siyu left and the three of us went on a gluttony trip! starting with sunset grill & pub at seletar airbase, a super-duper isolated and primitive place.      it was like going back to the past and having our meal in a kampong. while it was very secluded, there was a queue!       we were there for their famous chicken wings, which angelo had been raving about. they have spiciness levels from one to ten and anything above is off the menu. i heard if you finish half a dozen of level thirty, you are eligible to be on their wall of fame.  we tried level three and i'm sad to announce that i'm a wuss! it was hot enough for me. i don't think i'm up to try any level above that.   so, on the way home, we decided to stop for prata at jalan kayu.     angelo ordered thosai and it was probably the most humongous one we ever saw!  i had strawberry prata which wasn't sweet enough for me. lil ordered margarine and sugar, very unhealthy but worth the calories.  i can't wait for our next clique outing! |
