lee tong kee

we tried this place with famous ipoh hor fun called lee tong kee, situated in chinatown area. it's a nicely renovated and air-conditioned shophouse. there are very little tables there. fortunately, we went early and missed the rush.

mum tried the soup version and she loved the soup because it was sweet.

braised chicken feet and mushrooms, which i didn't eat.

the normal dry ipoh hor fun. it was good. the noodles were easy to slurp up and the chicken was very tender. BUT (yes, huge 'but') they didn't have green chillies! how can you eat noodles and not have green chillies?

this is a must have! the chicken is extremely good! very tender :)

the dumplings had prawns, so needless to say i didn't eat it. but it might be a plus point for some of you.

the or-nee wasn't much to brag about. i've had better.

when my dad ordered the avocado dessert and we tot it would come in an average size but the cup is very tiny!

overall verdict: i prefer the ipoh hor fun at holland village. price here is steeper and good there is nicer.

after the meal, we walked around and i realised this was the famous street of the dead!
