photo updates just realised i took some photos during the week & didn't update them... and if i dun update them soon, they'll be outdated...  my sis after a run, talking on the phone to lil, coz both of them were not making sense & i got sick of being the middleman...  ooo some green insect, which looks like a grasshopper & makes a noise like a cricket... my dad thinks it's the spirit of my grandpa coz it's been haunting our house since the 1st day of the 7th month... haha tot it was funny...  night scene while visiting my paternal grandma, isn't it beautiful? anyway, she's really getting senile...  haha & this is a super cute baby... couldn't take the baby's face coz everytime the baby turns around, the father does too & keeps giving me & my sis suspicious looks... happy happy happy haha i'm so happy! i got all 4 of my nm mods that i chose during the module preference exercise at the beginning of the month! so i can save my bidding points for the future, as only 1 point is deducted for each mod i'm allocated during the exercise :)... now i only have to bid for my remaining sc mod (coz the exercise was only for major mods)... what a great way to start a day!!! miss universe really didn't expect puerto rico to win... tot top 3, usa, japan & paraguay... switzerland would be 5th (her answers were really simple minded), but in the end usa 5th, very surprised, coz her answers were what i tot the judges would like & she's pretty too... the rest were all similar looking, tall, skinny with dark long hair... i didn't like puerto rico, coz she doesn't have the typical miss puerto rico look, she almost doesn't have shoulders & her hairstyle sucks... japan doesn't have the typical jap built (but this is a good point) & paraguay has the miss universe look... sin cuisine & haagen dazs yesterday went out with my paternal grandma, my maternal grandma, aunts & cuz... ate at sin cuisine, dun know why my parents love that place so much... i hate dim sum! anyway tot my paternal grandma a bit senile... wanted to give me angbao for my bdae, which she already did & 3 months past) & she also wanted to give my sis angbao for her bdae coz she thinks she missed it (my sis's bdae is in oct)... then while we were at the restaurant, in the toilet, i asked her if my aunt (paternal side) was working sundays & she kept replying that her zip cannot zip... after lunch, we went to anchorpoint... while my maternal grandma & my parents were at standard charter, my aunt treated us to haagen dazs... so sad that they dun retain their old flavours & replaced them with new ones... preferred the old ones, they dun even have orange vanilla in pint! here are some pics of the outing...  wanqi & me at standard charter...  weiliang at haagen dazs, very proud of his electrocuted hair... ooo... and the sundaes... belated ya i was so super pissed that day that i didn't get to blog about my potc outing on wed... not that i'll forget about the money matter anytime soon... anyway, i preferred the first movie, first ones are always the best! i would watch the black pearl a few times more (which i did), but i dun think i'll do the same for the dead man's chest... that's not to say that the movie was lousy, just that it didn't live up to the first... the dead man's chest did have some hilarious moments... but it was very dark... my sis's friend, gerald, was late... haha but he was glad he didn't make us miss the movie... we ate at tcc, the mongolian chicken chop was as good as ever... it was gerald's & my sis's first time there, so i recommended lil's fav, salmon linguine to them, which they liked... after the movie, gerald sent us home in his new car, a silver peugeot (didn't look out for the model)... the music system in his car was quite cool, states the title of the song & band name... wish i could say the same for his gps system, which took a long time to load... and my sis (no directional sense in sg, but can navigate us in foreign countries) tried to make us go in circles around orchard... we did finally get home, after his gps worked... yesterday, me & sis went to ntu to settle some admin stuff... lucky i'm in nus, ntu's super confusing... after that, we met lil (who went to nie) at jp... went to the new jurong west lib, ate brunch at mos burger... due to the forever faulty starhub menu, the cinema timings went bonkers, so we almost missed nacho libre at 1140... had to separate with lil, whom we promised to go to the pet shop with... anyway this is being pretty random, but this is a pic of a super cute mgs pri girl me & my sis saw on thurs at cristofori... we were waiting for her piano lesson to begin, and this girl (plump, wearing tight blouse) was walking up & down the aisle... looking into every piano studio... haha she was very restless & finally settled down on the floor the read... funeral wake super long post... coz i haven been really blogging for a week due to the funeral, so this is what have been happening to me for the past 7 days or so...  me & my sec 4 cuz, wanqi... during the day, when no one's coming to pay respect, we have nothing to do except folding paper money... this is taken on the last day, all the paper money has been folded...  pls dun ever send ur child to macpherson sec school... or maybe it's just wanqi... sec 4 already also dun know how to spell world...  2 of my cuz who we only see during cny... the elder one slimmed down a lot, now looking shuai... the younger one got potential... all my girl cuz say he look like xu meng zhe, but i dun think so...  me being paparazzi *my sis & somebody...  haha this is jiamin, she's super cute... very agile & seems to run on caffeine, still can run around even at 1am... she "doesn't like to smile" (her exact words), so she's baring her teeth (or lack of it)...  me chasing jiamin, until got blue-black...  from left: weiliang (wanqi's bro), wanqi, laiwan biaojie & me...  me & biaojie hiding from one of our bossy kpo external relative who's bossing around, looking for pple to do things...  one of the lilies from the flower arrangements... tot it was fake at first, coz the colour's very nice... tired super shag... only time i leave the funeral is to go home & sleep, then i have to get back to help out... so many things have happened, realised funeral is a place full of gossip, u really hear everything about everyone from the adults... had a super big quarrel that day, my aunts were like shouting across the void deck (u know like those kind of things u see on the news)... and everyone was looking, even from the main road, super embarrassing... then my poor grandma keep crying... sigh gotta go back to the funeral now... karaoke yesterday went karaoke with my parents, uncle john & aunt doris... we 3 females were just talking the whole time there... about aunt doris workplace & all the mediacorp stars she served... also talked about europe & fashion... while my dad & uncle john were happily holding their own concert... haha sing until zhao-sia... try to blend & do high pitch, low pitch, it was hilarious... during dinner (break from singing)... i escaped first coz i dun eat crab... & went back to the karaoke... there was this super horrible singing couple (they're always there) & i was tormented by their noise... the guy's super nasal & his wife is super off key... ya they're really compatible, if i didn't know better, i'd think they met at a karaoke & were attracted by their similarities... haha i recorded it & played it for my parents & sis... they kept laughing! sis outing argh yesterday went to make new ic, coz the deed poll expires in 28 days... so we went there & there were a bunch of screw ups... 1) went to take ic photo... the stupid woman keep saying that we have to wet our hair coz our hair cannot cover our eyebrows (wtf?!? make me look bald), then the stupid woman say i cannot wear specs coz it causes reflections (wtf 2?!?)... then the stupid woman keep asking my sis to flatten my hair coz it's curly (wtf 3?!?)... in the end, my photo looks like some death certificate... i'm going to throw it away... waste of money... lucky i brought my last nice ic photo... 2) finally we got to the ic counter... and the lady there said that we can't insert our hanyu pinyin name coz it's not in the deed poll... so we called out parents, who hung up on us (coz they were having course)... we had to call our aunt at the firm & she said if we wanted the hanyu pinyin name we had to include in the deed poll (which she didn't tell us), but she ask us to call our parents (who didn't pick up the phone)... in the end thru sms-ing, my father said his ic also dun have hanyu pinyin name... lucky the counter ladies are super nice! after the big hoo-hah... i went to thread my eyebrow at peninsula plaza (lil's recommendation)... wa it was damn painful... my sis could even hear it outside the room! i kept tearing & flinching haha... plucking so much more comfortable, but the shape's nice & it was cheap... so its a give & take situation... last stop... cine... sis's treat at suki sushi... buffet... i didn't eat her money worth... never really like sushi (dun eat seafood)... and it was really filling,then we watched waiting, which sucks, no beginning no ending, just lots of bad words & sexual innuendos...  sis & conveyor belt (which she's going to conquer)...  mountain of tempura vegetable compared to a salmon sashimi (dun ask me why, it was my sis idea)... ya i was really full & dying... really didn't expect that much... we were really tired at the end of the day... haha came back & pom! zzz on the bed... renovation it's like renovation year for my block... now there's some irritating neighbour drilling non-stop for 2 days already... just after my downstairs finished their renovations... it's like he's trying to drill thru the floor or something... i hate renovations, why can't pple just stay put, then i wun have to bother knowing new neighbours too, when my old neighbours are just fine... and the stupid lift's still under servicing... been "under servicing" for a bloody week & a half, dun see any servicing going on, even the neighhours are starting to talk... my dad called the company up but they dun even know what's going on... the lift has been shut down, maybe their pple are holed up in the lift... or maybe they're importing a whole new lift from japan... argh i'm being such a bitch... i really hate renovations... new skin my new skin's nice right? custom made by my sis... first we looked thru photos online, chose 5 down to 1... but the pic was a no brainer, it was definitely the nicest... and my sis said it's the easiest for blending... other than me choosing the photos & colour scheme, everything else is done by her... first time i sat next to her & saw how a skin's being made using adobe... wa didn't know that there were so many layers & she had to keep redoing or finding the layers to make changes... all those falling leaves were also individually made & turned... woo i'm so proud of my new skin & my sis haha... anyway we also realised that her skin & my skin can only be viewed using mozilla firefox... we tried using internet explorer & every measurement was skewed... haha if u're still using ie, please switch to firefox, it's much better... bidding always hate this time of the year... choosing of modules... always take a super long time to plan my timetable, have to make sure the exam times do not clash, lecture times are not the same, enough time for tutorials in between lectures & breaks at appropriate moments... and u know what? everytime after i painstakingly plan my timetable, i always dun get some of the modules i want & have to plan all over again... using the little few modules leftover after bidding... currently, i have been planning for over an hour already... had to keep switching modules coz one of the timings always clash... and i still haven have a finalised timetable yet... it's such a waste of time, really irritating... nice sky BUKIT BATOK HAS NICE SKY!!! ya it's true... i was like stoning this morning and suddenly i saw the nice sky... woke up & started taking lots of photos... my sis likes the second picture, coz i took it with the tree in front of the building & the tree trunk looks super big...    sis & me met mum for lunch yesterday at wisma... then walk around shopping... zara @ liat towers & mango @ tangs... actually it was only my mum & my sis coz i hate shopping during sales, was also having cramps, so i was just leaning against the wall waiting for them to finish looking around...
