knick knacks  just some updates on little knick knacks i bought or received as gifts recently.  a chicken oven-timer, which i plan to use in school to time students when they do activities. $2 from diaso, imm. other than the chicken, they have many cute designs.  being environmentally friendly is in trend now. when i was at hong kong, many tai-tais use such bags instead of plastic bags when they do their shopping. lightweight materials and foldable to save space. the one from nbc, raffles city, costs $20 (double layered, with waterproof zipper pockets). pressie is from matthew from old navy.  sick of having to open your book to read while eating? gimble does the job for you. the book holders come in two sizes for small and medium sized books. easy to carry around and flip the pages. $9.60 from pageone, vivocity.  other small trinkets, also from matthew's recent trip to usa, fun erasers and reese's lip balm.
