group meeting @ pastamania

had a group meeting at pastamania, cineleisure, with my elective group. prior to that, we had to observe teenage behaviour outside school. what they wear? why they hang out? leadership within the clique? what's in and what's out in fashion? views on bgr and premarital sex? you can be amazed at what they think and i'm relieved that they are still conservative regarding bgr and sex.

so after all the interviewing, we went to pastamania to chill and regroup. it was relatively empty in the afternoon and we were able to do our project in peace.

kanch's iced milo and evan's strawberry soda. the milo came with some chocolate sauce which was a unique twist that i haven't seen in restaurants. sure adds to the thick chocolately taste. both of them kept raving about the strawberry soda. to me all soda just taste like syrup and carbonated water, thus, grossly overpriced too.

next is evan's ham cheesy pasta, $6.90, one of their current maniac value promotions. as usual with cream sauce pastas, he got sick of it after some time, but it was good while it was hot. i still feel that their creamy chicken pasta is one of the better and more affordable cream sauce pasta in singapore.

pretty obvious this was my snack! grilled chicken wings and banana smoothie. chicken wings so so, think it was pre-cooked and they just heated it up. love their smoothie though, it's sweet enough and very thick. i believe they did add artificial flavouring, but together with the blended bananas, it was good.

it's been a while since i've visited pastamania and was surprised to see all the increased choices, such as yummy looking desserts and irresistable combos at $4.90. the food is cheap and standard is not bad either. it's a pity they don't have more outlets in the west.
